License for KataGo's Neural Networks
The following license applies to the official KataGo neural network files and checkpoints available on this site katagotraining.org, including all networks on the https://katagotraining.org/networks/ page in the "kata1" run, with a few exceptions, indicated further below. The same license also applies to the networks on the https://katagotraining.org/extra_networks/ page that are labeled as "KataGo" networks, such as the "KataGo Human SL Network", rather than being attributed to an external contributor. (For non-"KataGo" networks attributed to another contributor, see section further below).--------------------

Exceptions
The oldest networks imported from prior runs before distributed training began, namely the ones marked on https://katagotraining.org/networks/ as belonging to the "g170" run, are not covered by the above license but rather are under CC0 and are effectively public domain.
The "zhizi" networks released by ZhiziGo for use in KataGo's main "kata1" training run and available on https://katagotraining.org/networks/, e.g. "kata1-zhizi-b28c512nbt-muonfd2" and "kata1-zhizi-b40c768nbt-fdx6c" and so on, are released under the following license:

Extra Neural Networks From Other Contributors
As mentioned above, the networks at the https://katagotraining.org/extra_networks/ page labeled as "KataGo" networks are covered by the "KataGo Neural Network License", but the ones on that page from various named external contributors and not labeled as "KataGo" networks might not be so covered. All such externally-contributed networks were released to me with the expectation that they would be offered for free on this website for the public to download and use freely, but explicit terms (e.g. commercial use, further finetuning and modification, etc.) were not necessarily communicated.
